Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:

The activity that I did consisted of a conference entitled “Perspectives in regenerative cell therapy in neurodegeneration” with the aim of disclosing the current studies that are carried out in this topic and encouraging the study of the many branches that make up this field of study. I’ve been promoting events in science before, but this time I did one as a speaker at BAW. I am satisfied because it is a particularly special activity in relation to others and I will be in some way promoting its dissemination.

Feedback & Keys to Success

How do you feel BAW participation benefited your organization and the local community?

The benefits as a result of the event would be: informative, about the area of study of Neuroscience that in general is very incipient in our environment; and persuasive, in the sense of encouraging young people to be interested in the different disciplines in Neuroscience. The immediate results are: 1) the effect of updating and dissemination of the topic addressed; 2) the formation of a circle of studies with students interested in the area, with whom a free course will soon be starting.

Please share any suggestions or lessons learned that may help others plan future events:

In the dissemination part prior to the event, I was helped by various media, including whatsapp, through which I sent the file of the connference to my contacts and some even offered to paste it on the mural of their institution. Another activity was to raise some immediate activity with those interested in the area and be willing to start it in the short term. In my case it was almost immediately and we are going to start the course.
