Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:
We held activities on three Ecole Claire Fontaine campuses that all of our students had a chance to participate in on different levels, depending on age. We made model clay brains, discussed the function of different parts of the brain, focused on the emotional regulating segments, and experimented with the way messages are sent quickly throughout the brain in a favorite activity called, Squid Ink. Children mimicked one another with hand gestures, tried to control their own automatic movements, and made brain hats.
