To start, we watched the BAW intro video. Then, I had a TBI victim come in to talk about the importance of the brain and protecting your brain. We read through some of the BAW materials and did some quick brain teasers. There was a Q&A with our speaker, during which the middle schoolers interacted on a more personal level.

Feedback & Keys to Success
How do you feel BAW participation benefited your organization and the local community?
The biggest impact has been on a few individual students. I believe they will be more likely to wear their helmets. Speaking to someone with a TBI, an actual person with an injured brain, had the biggest benefit both for him and our students.
