Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:
This was the first edition of Brain Week in our institution. The event brought together students from all health courses (Psychology, Nursing, Nutrition, Pharmacy and Physical Therapy). We had a good participation of the students and also of the professors. We had two conferences: The opening conference it was about the interface of artificial intelligence and health, with the participation of the speakers from the areas of Information Systems and Physical Therapy. On the second day the conference dealt with the topic anxiety in an interdisciplinary perspective with professors from the areas of Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology, Nutrition and Pharmacy. On the second day a brain painting workshop was held with elementary school students. The last activity consisted of the mini course on neuroscience of healthy and pathological aging, the audience was students of psychology. Our goal was to promote discussion of relevant topics to brain functioning in a multidisciplinary perspective. Our goal has been achieved since the students and teachers actively participated in the activities and discussions, including students from other areas, such as technology. The event has been included in the calendar of the institution so we can hold it every year and extend it.

Feedback & Keys to Success
How do you feel BAW participation benefited your organization and the local community?
The event promoted the integration of all the institution’s health courses, as well as the students of the technology courses. The students who worked on the event were enriching with the opportunity to share brain knowledge with elementary school children, bringing a contribution beyond the academic community.
