The action managed to attend approximately 60 classes of the schools and more the community that was present in the place Baptist Campos in Sunday

Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:

This action entitled “neurosciences in the School” was carried out by Lorena Araújo da Cunha, Susanne Suely Santos da Fonseca, Rodrigo Gomes Ramos and Anderson Manoel Herculano Oliveira da Silva, and had as objectives: – To prepare a notebook of practical classes on anatomy and physiology of the nervous system, sense organs, memory and perception (practices used in the action) and propose to the teachers of Sciences and Biology that they use with their students throughout the school year; – Perform practical classes on anatomy and physiology of the nervous system, sense organs, memory and perception with students of basic education; – Disclose in public square (Plaza Batista Campos) basic knowledge about the nervous system performing the same practices taught in schools. The schools visited: – Escola Estadual de Ensino Fundamental e Médio “Luiz Nunes Direito” – Escola Municipal de Ensino Fundamental “Padre Pietro Gerosa” – Escola Estadual de Ensino Fundamental e Médio “Frei Daniel” – Escola Municipal de Ensino Fundamental “Padre Leandro” – Escola Municipal “AMMA” The practices carried out: – Counter of the senses; – puzzle and memory game about the nervous system; – Tower of London and practice of attention – Optical illusion; – fake rubber hand On each day of the week the practices were carried out in a school, always in two shifts (afternoon / evening or morning / afternoon), counting eight hours of daily activities. The action was able to attend approximately 60 classes of these schools. On Sunday 18/03/2018 the practices were carried out for the community that was present in the Plaza Batista Campos, from 8am to 12pm.

the action was important to reinforce with the teachers of basic education the importance of practical classes for the process of teaching and learning, as well as to help students learn about the nervous system.

returning our practices to basic education is important to sensitize students and teachers about the importance of research, in addition to contributing important resources for the learning of these students
