Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:
Fifteen-year-old Jaden Stanisclaus of Hillsborough Secondary School is Grenada’s Best Brain. The Grenada National Brain Bee Challenge held its first ever closed finals on Saturday March 20, 2021 at the St. George’s Baptist Church. History was made! It was our first Virtual Competition due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Although Jaden and 14 other students were qualified for our 2019-2020 competition, only 11 competed on March 20, 2021. As the winner, Jaden will be representing Grenada at the ‘virtual’ International Brain Bee Championship (October – December 2021). The students who participated enjoyed many fruits of their labor in prizes by our dedicated sponsors. Final competition: First place – Jaden Stanisclaus (Hillsborough Secondary School) Second Place – Naomi Danechard (Westmorland School) Third Place – Joshua Andall (TAMCC) Fourth Place – Adaeze Ejeagwu (J. W. Fletcher Catholic School) Fifth Place – Nkeshe Andall (TAMCC) Our Facebook People’s Choice Award was awarded to Inzaghi Williams (HSS). The Brain Art Contest Winners were: First place Mae Azuanneau (Bishop College) Second place Samuel Roberts (Grenada Seventh Day Adventist Comprehensive School) Third place Adaeze Ejeagwe (J. W. Fletcher Catholic School).The Essay Competition Winners were: First place Jaden Stanislaus (Hillsborough Secondary School) Second place Zafirah Bain (St. George’s Institute) and Third place Nkesha Andall (TAMCC). Brain Bee Awareness Week was celebrated in our tri-island state from March 15-21, 2021.
