Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:
In this forth edition with a great cooperation as psychologists we managed to organize more than 800 events around Italy. We had the support of public and private institutions in the divulgation about cognitive, affective and social neuroscience for the general public. Neuropsychologists assessed cognitive functioning in free screening sessions, educational psychologists assessed learning disabilities in schools. Seminars and informal meeting were held in libraries, hospitals, radio and TV shows. Practical workshop were held both for kids and adults. The main project we developed was “Che fine ha fatto Mr Cervello”. This project also won the grant from the Federation of European Neuroscience for its content and vision. We received great attention from national and local press, also covering social media communication. More than 1000 professional psychologists participated in organizing events, led in 21 Italian regions. Participants and general public showed great interest and appreciated topics and methodology.
