Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:
During the Brain Awareness Week 2017, Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering (IMGGE), University of Belgrade organized a variety of activities for different categories of the audience with a purpose of promoting the public understanding of neuroscience. The manifestation was devoted to colors as the specific theme to honor the 100th anniversary of the Ishihara color perception test. Activities devoted to children age from 14 to 18 were organized in IMGGE, enabling the children the direct access to research laboratories and equipment. These activities consisted of lecture “Ghosts, delusions and other visual illusions” and workshop “Coloring by microscope”. For children age from 9 to 14 workshops “Light within us” and “Braincolors” with lectures, experiments and color perception tests and optical illusions were organized.
