Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:

Description of Activity “Memory, a companion to our past and future” was the title of the prezi presentation made by students of Karatoula Junior High School. Students presented the topic of memory in front of public by defending their findings: To make the presentation vivid a 3D depiction of the journey of the electric pulse through neurons to hippocampus to store memory was presented: Before closing the presentation students wanted to cheer up the audience by challenging them to find out what they have learned from the presentation and check their memory using ICT. There was a significant effort to integrate relevant to the matter scientific terms in the teaching of the course of English as much as possible presented in a simple and popular form so that students understand the biological brain functions. Moreover the conduction of such a project also had an impact on teacher-students relations building a bond together based on mutual trust and respect. A fact that I enjoyed most was that though this, students’ skills and talents were revealed! Products 1. Blog 2. Paintings 3. Leaflet in Greek-English 4. Creation of an online quizz by Kahoot 5. Editing and subtitling video in youtube
