Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:
During each day we had student generated information and presentations. Monday-Biological Perspective Had human Brains from Madison College for students to observe Tuesday-Influence of Chemicals on brain, were able to use stimulation goggles, and perception to simulate awareness Wednesday-Social Media Had surveys and results of data was shared with students, to demonstrate how much time spent, and then information on impact to developing brain. Thursday-concussion awareness. Had Every team that uses a helmet represented, also had a history of different football helmets, had info from National Athletic Trainers Association. Friday-Mental health Awareness. Student started a Bandanna Project, with information of critical phone numbers and support systems to set up a school wide information and support network.

How do you feel BAW participation benefited your organization and the local community?
Just having the event, I think it has really helped our school spend some time looking at the importance of our brains and the many different ways kids brains are influenced.
