The MindBrainBody Institute welcomed more than 130 young researchers to participate and present at the 6th MindBrainBody (MBB) Symposium 2018 that took place on March 15-16, 2018 in Berlin, Germany. Already 6th time the MBB Symposium takes place during the International Brain Awareness Week at the Berlin School of Mind and Brain, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. We were happy to welcome postdoctoral and doctoral researchers as well as Master students in the domains of cognitive, affective, social neurosciences, cognitive neurology, neuropsychiatry, and psychology or other behavioral and social sciences. The symposium program included public Lecture, keynote lectures, workshops, presentations by applicants, and a poster session (with a Poster Prize) as well as an MBB Young Scientist Award. The public lecture took place on 15th of March and Wolfgang Prinz (Leipzig) gave a lecture on “What it takes to explain consciousness”. The keynote speakers were Catherine Tallon-Baudry (Paris), Radoslaw Martin Cichy (Berlin), Maria Herrojo Ruiz (London), Melanie Wilke (Göttingen) and Carsten Finke (Berlin). The Poster Prize MBBS 2018 was awarded to Friederike Irmen (Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin) & Monika Graumann (Freie Universität Berlin). Already the 3rd year, the MBB Young Scientist Award provides the winners with the opportunity of a 3-month period funded research stay at our institutes. The 2 winners of 2018 were Dorottya Lantos (University of London) and Marina Kliuchko (Aarhus University). The participants were very enthusiastic about the whole program and enjoyed the lectures and workshops! The MBB Symposium is organized by Anahit Babayan and Arno Villringer.
