Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:
The National Black Nurses performed a diverse platform of activities during the month of March. We conducted an educational session with the committee in February and developed a kit and talking points to disseminate throughout our 118 chapters across the United States. We also encouraged each chapter to do an activity with their chapters and institutions of work. In Virginia, we conducted 3 major activities. 1. Educational Session with our Nursing Employee Resource Group 2. Health Fair on Brain Health at Virginia State University Community Fair 3. Toolkit and talking points to disseminate for the Neuroscience Nurses Virginia Chapter
