Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:

Brain Awareness week was organized in collaboration with last year high school, scientists and clinicians mainly involved in brain development and neurodegenerative disorders. There was divulgation, sharing and discussions with high school students, bachelors, caregivers and common people. The importance of prevention was communicated. Moreover, divulgations of research and future perspectives of healthy brain was very well presented discussed and perceived. We organized three distinct events in the Campania, one workshop at National Research Council of Italy (CNR) Institute of ProteinBiochemistry (IBP) with the high school students and professor Umberto Di Porzio that maintained interactive presentations on brain development. In addition, Dr. Emilia Vitale presented her lab activity on the study of molecular biomarker underlying Neurodegeneration. The students were introduced to the world of the research lab. We had then open house at ASL NA1 Geriatric Center “ Frullone “ and a conference with Alzheimer Disease Association (AIMA) and caregivers.
