Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:
I organised a number of Brain Awareness Week events aimed at developing awareness of the impact of stress and associated treatments, as well as more generally bench to bedside research happening at NUI Galway. For these events, I set up a work-in-progress PPI website where I plan to continue to work with the public, patients, and stakeholders in my research: (www.bench-bedside.com). I have been very successful in reaching my goals i.e., obtaining a wide audience/following who are interested in learning more about our work but also working with us on this research, as part of PPI.
