Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:

I am a consultant who works in Education and whose work is mainly web based. So I have regular subscribers who access the materials I produce and make available in Portuguese. With the series that I produced for the Brain Awareness Week, I tried to inform my public about the brain as an organ, how it develops, how we learn, how we get sick and what can be done to treat it (the brain) better. As most of my audience does not know English, being able to bring the resources and the material made available by the Dana Foundation into Portuguese seems to be a solid step forward in providing better quality information for Brazilians (and other Portuguese speaking audiences as well).

Feedback & Keys to Success

How do you feel BAW participation benefited your organization and the local community?

I did not have immediate outcomes but being a partner to the DANA Foundation has surely given me access and also endorsed the kind of material I take care in producing to raise awareness about the brain.

Please share any suggestions or lessons learned that may help others plan future events:

It would be great if I Could get to know about other partners in my area (Brazil) so that I Could share materials and ideas with them.
