Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:
Objective was to increase awareness of brain health. Objective was met. Presented ways to keep brain healthy. Stressed the importance of wearing helmets in hazardous activities, eating right, getting enough sleep. Discussed basic neuro anatomy and physiology. Discussed recent research in neuroplasticity. Discussed benefits of Neurofeedback. The 5th grade class was very interactive and excited to learn the concepts. I asked them to share the information with their parents. They did!
