Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:

The WHO-Hellenic Healthy Cities Network in collaboration with amke Obrela organized actions in support of “Brain Awareness Week 2022” which took place from 14 to 20 March 2022. Many citizens came to the Main Event Hall of the Metro Constitution to watch the actions implemented by our local members.

The Hellenic Healthy Cities Network organized and conducted presentations in the Events space of Syntagma Station to update and inform the public about the latest developments in brain research. The topics covered include; brain care, cognitive health, memory, brain plasticity, mental health, neurological diseases, neuro screening, puberty, dementia, psychosis, artificial intelligence, and the benefits of nutrition and exercise in the prevention of brain diseases such as Alzheimer disease. During our event, we also included key lectures, panel discussions, information kiosks, interviews with experts, curriculum material for school teachers and students as well as musical events. While the event was active there was a connection to Participation with the “2nd interdisciplinary conference”, where reputable speakers presented and developed topics related to the functions of the brain.

The event was successful, resulting in the participation of many of our citizens and bystanders alike and the presentations were well embraced by attracting the attention of our guests.
