Objectives: 1) Teach participants about one specific example of how yoga affects the nervous system, in this case memory 2) Make the learning experiential, by showing changes in memory performance before and after the yoga class 3) Teach the public about the scientific method Feedback from attendee: “This was such an important and informative event for us to see that our brains and our neurological systems are tied into exercise and yoga and how important it is that concurrently science is proving the benefits of our engagement with exercise. I truly appreciate that there are so many advances being made for us to understand how we can be in control of our won health outcomes. A very strong correlation was demonstrated here at today’s program. You are all fantastic and the presentation was most impressive on so many levels. I particularly liked the Intro by Jonathan with his “epxerts” in the cartoon formate! It really did drive home the points in a very fun way!! Way to go you NYUers!! Thank YOU ALL!!”

If using eventbrite, charge the price upfront. Most who RSVPed didn’t show. Schedule the event longer than you think it will run, because there will inevitably be hiccups. Eventbrite is amazing if you take the time to learn to use it.
