Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:

Pilot Club of Great Bend has for years instituted a campaign of media attention with a Brain Awareness Week Proclamation and Autism day/ Month proclamation signings involving the City of Great Bend Mayors and County commissioners. To raise awareness of the importance of the focus on education and understanding of brain related disorders, illnesses and injuries, we work in all facets of our community. The presentations and media exposure brings awareness through out the community while bringing the leaders in our community to the fore in the our campaign . We feel this facet of our activities continues to meet our goals.

We have had new interest in our upcoming Autism Spectrum Disorder workshop scheduled for after the pandemic allows — April 2022 as well as interest in our civic organization Pilot Club of Great Bend
