Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:
Monday – conference and symposium with the title “Human thought – Neuroscience, Art and Philosophy approach”. Experts from the listed fields and youngsters discussed the definition of mind – from the point of view science, philosophy, aesthetics and AI. Tuesday – presentation about critical thinking: how to teach and learn subjects. There were exercises with teenagers and some philosophical attempts for the secondary education students. “Gene, Meme, Treme”, conference about the interface of Genetics, Psychology / Psychiatry and AI. Wednesday – “The Genesis of the Nervous system”. Academic presentation about the genetics and embryology of the Nervous System from the age of the Chordata. Comparative exercises to understand the common structures and function of different beings. The involvement of Math – Symmetry, Time and Space breaks in the embryonic evolution. Quantum physics and consciousness – another hot topic discussed by a physicist: “What matter is not” – a conference & symposium about the necessity of involving quantum mechanics in explaining the biological phenomena. Thursday – hegemonic approach of neurocognition – conference on anthropological themes. Friday – final symposium on the main theme: “The Origin and Form of Thought”
