Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:
During BAW in Saint Petersburg State University we held special Conference devoted to discussion of modern achievements in Neuroscience. The unique approach of our BAW activities consists in real opportunity for school students to prepare and present the results of their own investigation. The best works are choosing by Organizing Committee of the Conference, and winners of the competition are invited to present their works to the wide audience. For young scientists there is the unique chance to get the opinion about their research from leading specialists and discuss scientific problems with them. The short description of 2016 BAW Conference is as follows: First day: Lectures on modern achievements in neuroscience, read by the leading scientists. Second day. Excursions to the Biotechnology Resource Center and to Pavlov’s Memorial Museum. Master class for biology teachers. Third day. Presentation by school students their scientific reports, diplomas for winners, intellectual games and a popular science films.
