Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:
Under the auspices of the Student Section of the Serbian Neuroscience Society the Serbian Brain Council organized its own session at the Brain Awareness Week 2019 in the Gallery of science and technology of the Serbian Academy of Science and Arts. Three talks were presented – by the Serbian Brain Council president on Cooperation of Universities and Industry, a talk from a patient’s perspective by the president of the Society of Parkinson’s disease patients, and a talk from a colleague at the Psychiatric clinic on the development and benefits of brain electroconvulsive treatments. The event was a success and attracted a considerable audience. It was the first lecture session of this kind organized by the Council at a BAW. Particular success was the collaboration with a patient organization in forming the session program.
