Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:
The main activities took place in nursing homes with seniors, where cognitive functions were activated, through quizzes, worksheets, lectures, and the like. Another community was primary, secondary, and tertiary students, where they developed their age-appropriate knowledge, libraries organized events and lectures for their readers and the general public, and regional public health offices and Slovak Red Cross organizations shared information for the general public.
There is great interest every year, even though the activities have recently been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Feedback & Keys to Success
How do you feel BAW participation benefited your organization and the local community?
Brain Week 2022 was a healing benefit to our organization. After some stagnation, we again experienced life in the community, the desire to work and participate in various activities as well as organize new activities. We believe that next year the number of organizations and participants who have signed up for Brain Week every year will increase again.
Please share any suggestions or lessons learned that may help others plan future events:
We neglected the preparation a bit, we did not have time to translate the offered right-handed aids, but we have already started preparing for the next year and we believe that we will achieve higher engagement and participation in such an extremely beneficial activity again.
