Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:
We organized a morning with themed lectures. Initially, our morning of that day began with a lecture on Optogenetics, what is and future perspectives, given by the Specialist Professor Marcelo Farias, Institution Teacher. Then, the students of the group chosen to participate in the event presented their work on the neuroanatomy of the senses, using models representing the neural circuits, projections and printed materials. Finally, the neuroscientist researcher, Amanda Mota, from the Federal University of Pará, gave a playful lecture on Neuroscience of Love, aimed at the young target audience of our activity, using audiovisual resources. Our goals were achieved by including in our annual program this activity focused on Brain Week. The students involved were enthusiastic and the Directorate of the Institution approved this idea because it is unusual and stimulating to other teachers.

Feedback & Keys to Success
How do you feel BAW participation benefited your organization and the local community?
Our students were able to participate in an international event, which became a stimulus. The board and other teachers were able to see the school inserted in the international context, along with other institutions, when participating in this event.
Please share any suggestions or lessons learned that may help others plan future events:
Our suggestion would be that they could provide simple experiences that can be played in the room during the year.
