Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:

The event brought together undergraduates, masters, teachers, members of the TEC research group and visitors. The agenda has three parts: a movie showed in partnership with PELC, in the second a presentation on Professor Henrique Schützer Del Nero contributions, and the third, the presentation of researches in progress by undergraduate students members of TEC that involve aspects of cognition. In its second edition, the event was moving towards its consolidation. The first activity was a movie based on the Stephen Hawking biography. The event name is in memory of Professor Henrique Schützer Del Nero. The undergraduate student Daniel Jasbick and the master’s student Francisco Oliveira presented about him. The other issues addressed included: (i) mental challenges with games and activities that exercise logical reasoning; (ii) use of mental activities as a way to better the school learning process; (iii) hybrid learning as a teaching methodology; (iv) didactic resources developed; (v) ongoing teacher training activities for the use of technology in classroom; (vi) video production for teacher training; (vii) contributions of technology for rehabilitation and learning process dificulties. The discussions held in this event were mostly about the teaching process, the development and use of diversified and differentiated tools to facilitate the process of knowledge construction by the students, as well as the education and training of teachers able to incorporate, consciously, didactic resources. Of the needs for the implementation of the teaching process and teaching positions is necessary so that the proposal of tools and procedures can take place more efficiently and effectively.
