Radio interview:
Dr Cathy Day and Prof. Sue McGinty discussed how the projects of the Tropical Brain and Mind Foundation is helping brains and minds Northern Region.
Adam Stephen discussed his dementia research with the Queensland Brain Institute.
Prof. Zoltan Sarnyai discussed COVID and the Brain.
Dr. Carlo Longhitano discussed forensic psychiatry, his future research into nutrition, the brain and its impact on regional, rural and remote communities.
Adam Stephen discussed “Going Troppo” a look at mental health in the Tropics.
These radio interviews occurred every afternoon across Brain Awareness Week. They occurred during peak listening periods during the ‘drive-time’ shift. Therefore we were successful in reaching a very wide and extensive audience.

School Visit:
Prof Zoltan Sarnyai visited with middle school students at a couple of high schools across the region to promote Brain Awareness. These were successful and engaging sessions. They utilised brain models and hands on activities.

Public Lectures:
Dr. Omer Shareef held two separate lectures titled, Understanding Brain Injury- are we only dealing with the tip of the iceberg?
The lectures were attended by a range of people from general public to teaching staff including Guidance Officers.
Prof. Zoltan Sarnyai MD, PhD held a lecture which was streamed online titled, Covid-19 and Our Brain: Should we be worried? This was well attended both virtually and in-person.

We advertised events through our Facebook page during and in the lead up to Brain Awareness Week.
