Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:
During March March 12-16, I went into classrooms throughout the school and did a Brain Presentation. These varied by grade level, 3rd-5th. Some of the activities included: a) . Naming the parts of the brain and coloring them in as we learned each part b) . Putting a brain part puzzle together and recapping each part c) . Watching a video and discussion afterwards d) Singing brain songs

How do you feel BAW participation benefited your organization and the local community?
Students are more aware of the importance of protecting their brains and the consequences of not. There have been more “brain” comments made throughout the building.
