Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:

High School Event: University of Nairobi 16th March, 2019 40 High School students were taken through mini-laboratory sessions in neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, neurohistology, encephalography. Lectures by experts and career mentoring session was also conducted and finally the students sat for the Brain Bee Quiz. Workshop: Pwani University 18-22 March, 2019 20 undergraduate and graduate students attended the workshop on Promoting Neuroscience Research in Eastern Africa which comprised of expert lecture sessions, laboratory demonstrations on measuring behaviour, basic and clinical neuroscience.

We also engaged the schools that participated in the last year's event through communicating with their representative teachers on phone.

We found out that confirming the attendance of schools, prior to event itself, always helps in more efficient budgeting and expenditure.
