Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:
Activities fall into three categories: -Conferences.- Researchers from different institutions spoke about autism, chocolate and brain activity, binge eating disorder and cognitive decline. On average above 100 persons attended wach conference. -Simposium.- This event was carried out by students enrolled in a Masters in Science graduate program. The idea was to share the experience of being a graduate students to undergraduates of different areas (psychology, medicine, nursery, etc). Only 55 students attended. The goal was not fully achieved, although it turned out to be a good first experience for this activity. -Workshop with elementary school students.- A brain rally was carried out with children, the goal was to work executive functions and to learn abour brain. The objective was achieved, children eagerly participated and learnt a lot through this activity.
