Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:
Sensory exhibition “Closed eyes”. Exposure of objects with different shapes, textures, sizes, taste tastes and different temperatures to be visited with the sold eyes that stimulate the tactile aspect, tastes, olfactory nervous system. The visit was was made in a directed way and could be performed even by people with special needs. There were 521 visitors. Educational event held by university students in elementary school. These were workshops with theoretical expositions and practical practices on the functioning of the nervous system, preliminary assessment forms and stimulate an imagination, creativity and scientific observation of elementary school students. It reached 364 students. Braille Office. It concerns training for writing and reading braille signs, which is the code used in writing by blind or low vision people. It was trained 14 students. Neuroscience Symposium composed of 6 lecturers. Cycle of lectures aimed at the academic public with discussion of relevant topics in neurosciences and carried out by researchers with experience in the field. There were 293 studants y professors. Film and discussion show. Movie presentation with central theme related Film and discussion show. Presentation of film with central theme related to a note of conscience and sequentially a discussion of the topic assisted with a professional. This activity was open to the general public and had 192 participants.
