Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:
I lead the coordination of 15 events organized in 7 cities (Brussels, Charleroi, Liège, Mons, Leuven, Gent, Namur). Each had their own design and varied public. In Liège, several events occurred with one dedicated to 200 students who could interact in real time using an application “Kahoot” and their smartphone to respond to questions. How do you feel BAW participation benefited your organization and the local community?
The coordination effort with robust communication and participation of the local organizers including a radio interview allowed to gain BAW and Belgian Brain Council both in visibility and impact.

Well advance programmation with repeated recalls are mandatory for success. The use of new tools like Instagram and applications for direct interaction give a significant added value to the events.
