Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:
The University of Iowa Neuroscience PhD Program hosted a Research Day with keynote speaker, faculty speakers, student poster session, and outreach to local private undergraduate institutions. Objectives were to provide research knowledge from a top-level keynote speaker, showcase new faculty members to the program, provide a science communication forum via a poster session, and engage area institutions as a potential outreach/recruiting effort. All objectives were met.
