Details of Major Brain Awareness Week Events/Activities:
Most of the events where round tables where we had the oportunity to discuss relevant topics with the local population. In the format we chose the participation of the population was highly stimulated to make sure no doubts or questions were not answered. We count on a public of different ages and social classes, with a wide range of professional backgrounds, what was great due to the lots of biases driving the discussion. The one event I personally organized from scratch was the presentation of a brazilian documentary on the beggining of life, in which the director compared the opinions of parents, doctors, psychologists and others who are commited to the cause of children around the world. This was by far the most touching activity because it was made clear the importance of the acts of adults in the future lives of our kids and called us to attention to the consequences of the way we treat our children on the future of our societies.
